Vin Rouge?

Cool down; there is nothing so alarming about ‘Vin Rouge’ since it merely means Red Wine in French lingo.  However, Wine Culture in France is something that is little short of being labeled unique. It is one of the few countries that have a long history of making and consuming wine. Nevertheless, French wine is universally recognized as a premium beverage all over the world. Besides, the culture is as old as the hills.

Looking back at the country’s wine culture, one needs to go back to the 6th century BC, when vineyards appeared mostly in south of France, along the Marseilles coast. But because of pressure exercised by the Romans at a later stage, vineyards were gradually destroyed. Also, the duke of Burgundy, in 1441, forcibly curbed the vineyard culture and as a result the  quality and quantity of grapes withered to a great extent.

However, later years proved helpful for the growth of vineyards in France when Catholic churches owned most of these in areas such as Champagne and Burgundy (during pre-French Revolution days).

However, aided by many external and internal influences, the French wine industry eventually became the pole bearer for the world wine production for most of its history with many of its wines considered the benchmark for their unique taste. The late 20th and early 21st century brought considerable change—earmarked by a changing international market and competition from other European wine makers .

Coming back to world wine culture (since it is no more restricted to Gaul) we find a new generation of people who are literally dedicated to drinking wine and nothing else than wine. While some of them are fond of Red Wine, there are others that prefer white wine, while there are people who seem to have a fascination for sparkling wine. Alongside has grown a novo culture, namely that of giving and  receiving bottles of wine. And this is where Richie Bags (Richie Bags & Fashion P.Ltd) has entered into the picture by way of offering charming Wine Bottle Bags that are listed below.

Postscript

While commonplace items are often gift wrapped in decorative paper or foil for presentation purposes, expensive gifts such as Remy Martin Cognac VSOP, Dom Perignon Champagne  or Macallan Whisky that was bottled in 1986 and rebottled in 2002 and was auctioned in 2007 at Christie’s, need more sophisticated Wine Bottle Bags made and marketed by Richie Bags.
